Living close to Lotus, its a go-to place for us. Their food is quite good, and while the spice is extremely inconsistent, you cannot turn it down. The little restaurant isn’t ideal for many people if eating there, so plan on taking out or inviting only one person. Not to mention that there staff is incredibly friendly, even in the cramped cooking space. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Arrived 15 minutes after their alleged opening time to find the doors locked. Employees inside did not acknowledge us and no one answered the phone. Unreal.
The best yellow curry I’ve ever had!!! I highly recommend the fresh rolls too. The peanut sauce is so creamy and rich and complements the freshness of the rolls really well.
Good, quick, cheap and friendly staff
Lotus is great!. Agreed on the excellent prices and deliciousness. But for the record, I’ve never had problems with spiciness at Naam. I just tell them I want 5 (or 7 or 8) stars on their 1-4 scale.
Good cheap food…friendly staff.
Perfect!. Thank goodness for Lotus Thai! I recently moved back to the Central District after living in the U District, where there are a ton of Thai restaurants. For a long time, the only nearby option has been Naam, which has a fancier ambience, but worse (and more expensive) food. Lotus Thai is inexpensive and really fantastic. Plus, they actually make their dishes spicy if you ask them too.
