Naam is a clean open modern Thai restaurant on the Main Street in Madrona. They have tables where you can sit on the floor which we did not but I really enjoy. They have a full bar and and an innovative cocktail menu. My husband said his cashew chicken was average but I really enjoyed the pad si ew. I usually stick to curries so I was nervous because I often find noodle dishes at Thai restaurants to be too sweet. It was definitely was not too sweet and was not too saucy. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. I thought it could have had more flavor but I probably should have ordered it spicier. Overall a very good experience.

Get a clue!. I am a Madrona resident and (had been) a loyal take out customer at Naam. The food is good and it is nice to have a convenient place near home. But the take out service at Naam has gotten increasingly bad. Tonight topped it all. They stopped answering the phone. After my 6th call, they finally picked up but no one was there. When I hung up and called back, it rang busy. So I walked over to the restaurant which was only half full. I waited 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. And when they did and I mentioned my unsuccessful attempts to complete what should be the simple task of ordering, the waitstaff was dismissive and unapologetic. To top all that off, they told me it would be at least 30 minutes to get any food. So rather than let these shenanigans take 60 minutes, I left and took my business elsewhere. My apologies that this review doesn’t even address the food. But that was not for a lack of trying on my part to get some. I am all for supporting the neighborhood businesses. But these folks need to get a clue and recognize that they are in a service business and need to make at list a little effort to provide decent service.
Great all around. Food was excellent, service was great, ambiance was tasteful. Loved it. I’ve had a lot of disappointing Thai lately with overly greasy stir fry and food that doesn’t seem fresh. This place was fantastic.
I grew up in madrona and I wish we had Naam Thai all of those years! I can easily say this is one of the best thai places in town, possibly the very best. Enjoy!
