Most of the reviews are older, so I’ll add my 2 cent from today. Had to eat in the bar since football was on. The bartender was overwhelmed doing the entire bar by himself. Although was discussed if we would return to eat in the resturant, my husband indicated the food would have been the same. The onion rings were hot, but not memorable. My husband did indicate that his fish and chips were good. I ordered clam strips which were overdone, but the fries were fine. I don’t think that I will return. There was a common smell of something burned through out the resturant area.
Dinner. Great frickin food!
Good Food – Great View. My wife and I eat here about 2-3 times a month as it is the closest restaurant to our beach house. The food is typically very good, especially the daily dinner special. The Halibut Fish & Chips are always good. If the weather is good and the deck is open eat outside. Live music on some weekends in the summer months outside on the deck. We enjoy the atmosphere better in the bar than we do the dining room, full menu in the large bar area and a more lively atmosphere.
Much better. The new ownership has made quite a few great changes to the inside, and the patio is much sharper looking.Good family place with a great selection of food. The Seafood Lasagna was a huge portion, and I almost exploded trying to eat the whole thing (it was so good). We are set for Valentine’s Day reservations. Four course meal here we come!!!
The best cocktail sauce I have tasted in a long, long time. The burger was delicious and the fries were the best. What a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant with good food and a wonderful view out in the middle of nowhere.
Valentines Day Blunder. I and my wife had been to Lennards twice before for Valentines dinner. Last year we spent in honolulu though and decided to revisit for this years dinner. Bad move on my part. I don’t complain about a whole lot in life but this was a special and ‘quiet’ dinner for my wife and I plus we were celebrating her new VW turbo convertible as well. The barbershop quartet was gone. The nice red table cloths and formality was gone. Loud music from the bar on the other side of the wall was annoying and hard to carry on a conversation. And basically my appetite was gone at this point five minutes after we sat down. We had 6pm reservations for dinner and were seated and promptly given the regular menu of the day! We waited 72 minutes from ordering from the Valentines dinner menu to finally be served a fillet mignon and crab legs , and a new york steak and crab legs. Poor service excuses were for a large dinner crowd in the bar and another large crowd in the diner . Karen should have hired another cook for this event to help out. I’ve been to lennards many times (mostly for breakfast) and their food, portions and people are always great. Cost of two dinners was only $70 out the door with a slice of Costco triple layer chocolate cake and a $11 tip..(i know it was Costco because i saw it the next day shopping) But this time the service was quite poor..as was the environment. Sorry Karen but I will not be back until things improve. For the money and travel involved from Fircrest to Allyn you would be just as good going to the Floatation Device on the other side of the Purdy bridge. Great food, crowd and service……..where to go next year? probably some overrated joint in seattle
