It’s the best Mexican food on the island unfortunately that’s not saying a lot food is good not great way over priced I’ve never seen a place charge extra for beans and rice the service is usually great unless you catch them on a off day which is rare they have a great staff great tequila selection this would be my favorite place to go all the time if it weren’t for the over priced menu I’m a repeat customer and will continue to go back but find myself going less and less used to be once a week now it’s more like special events maybe

Best Mexican Food since Phoenix. Last year I got spoiled in Phoenix for the amazingly good Mexican food. While staying in Oak Harbor, my friend and I ventured into El Cazador for dinner and drinks.The prices are very reasonable! I had a margarita, friend had bottled beer. The margarita was very good, made just right. We ordered guacomole to go with our free tortillas (the salsa was really good) and it was fresh and tasty.Dinner was mouth-wateringly good! I had the combo dinner of burrito, chimi and tostada – all chicken. Each item had its own flavor, and it was was a huge platter and I could only eat half. It came with beans and rice. Lots of cheese, which makes me a happy girl. Friend had Arroz con Carne, and wow, I’d regretted getting the standards after I tasted her dinner!I will return when next in the area. I highly, highly recommend!RETURN TRIP – Ordered the nachos! SO VERY YUMMMMMYYYYY!!!!RETURN TRIP #2 – The Colorado Burrito was THE BIGGEST and THE BEST we’ve ever had (big enough for 2) and the shrimp civeche was also the best I’ve ever had.

I remember this place years ago when they were at there old location with there old staff, those were the best years and the food was better back then too. It’s okay mexican food but trust me my family is from Guadalajara and I have had the pleasure to eat at sone of the best mexican spots here, California, Texas, Guadalajara and Mexico city. This place won’t be winning any awards but it’s an okay spot. They would be wise to try to at least recapture the old magic they had at the old location.
Best Mex on Whidbey. I really don’t care if you grew up in Imperial Beach right on the border, or have never been south of WA state, good Mexican is good Mexican, and El Cazador delivers. My favorite meal is enchiladas suizas, and El Cazador delivers in spades! The service has always been prompt and friendly, and though they rarely make mistakes, they are prompt to make it right. Check out their Sunday buffet as well! Very good value and quality food.
Great food and drinks! Hosted our Packers Super Bowl party there and had a blast! A great local place within stumbling distance.
