Loved it. First, the atmosphere was so-so at best and they could definitely use a makeover. Second, the food didn't look like much as far as presentat…

Really Fine, But A Little Salty. My wife and I had a fine dinner here when staying overnight at Oak Harbor on July 20 on our first ever trip to this area. The roast lamb was very nicely done, the well-done soft flesh just falling from the bone. The Greek salad was better than at other restaurants to which I have been. The cucumbers were more finely sliced and there was not as much raw red onion, which has sometimes been so plentiful in Greek Salads in other restaurants that it has given me heartburn. The entre was just a bit salty though. That’s a common problem in many restaurants. it was a midweek night at dinner time but the place was not full and so we got a seat immediately and the service was quite quick, friendly and good.24 Jul, 2013Alright but. We arrived around 7 PM on a weekday in holiday season and got seated at once and it wasn’t full. Service was quick and friendly but not top notch. When our food was delivered the waitress said she’d be back – we didn’t know what for – but she didn’t come anyway. The atmosphere, table spacing and noise levels were fine. The food quantities were plenty. We had lamb roast which was very well done so the meat fell from the bone – but too salty. Even the rice, potato and green beans (overdone too) were saltier than necessary. And – the server never came to refill our water glasses. I guess we could have asked… The Greek salad was nice. The cucumbers were peeled, which isn’t always the case, and not necessary. I appreciated less red onion than in some places. The tatziki was thinner and had an edge to it. The bread was warm and tender – but no dip or hummus. I’d go again if it wasn’t so salty…
Decent American Greek. Moussaka was really good. Rest average. Recommended.
What happened?!. This was my favorite place to eat prior to me being stationed in san diego. i came back to the island in 2011 and took my wife to their new location. noticed they didnt have the old menu, none of the old employees. the food isnt great, service was ok, and price was a bit overpriced. I dont know where im gonna get souvlaki from now…
Microwaved Food. Every time I eat here I order something different. With the exception of the burger (which is delicious) everything looks and tastes like it’s a TV dinner cooked in the microwave. You can even see the shape of the plastic bowl it was microwaved in.
Menu is simple. My experience was for breakfast. Kids enjoyed the meal & wife and I left happy and full. Clean & friendly environment.
Usually the food is amazing but a recent experience with take out was disappointing. The Kota lemonatha did not taste like lemon at all and was overcooked. The beans tasted like cafeteria beans and zatziki was watery. In the end the could do better.
Best in Washington. Zorba’s has the best Greek salads in all of Washington from what we have found so far. The dinners are outstanding too, I especially like the Moussaka and the Souvlaki.
