Patio+Service+Awesome Food = Amazing dinner!. I made reservations at Cornuto for my birthday for 12 people. Of course by the time we got there it was up to 15. They sat us on the back patio on cute picnic tables and had no issues with a few more people. Our server was really nice and helpful, he started us right off with drinks and apps. The pizza/pastas came out pretty quickly for such a large group and all close to the same time! The server was able to tell us the restaurant favorites and even suggested a pizza off the menu that my friend ended up loving! The food itself was awesome! Wood fired, thin-crust, personal-sized pizzas. Quality toppings and fun but simple combinations. Also tried the bruschetta (tomato and ricotta) for an appetizer and it was slightly smoky and very flavorful. A few good beer options and lots of wine to choose from plus bourbons and whiskeys.DON’T FORGET DESSERT! I had an espresso ice cream dessert and I thought I had died and gone to heaven! There were little bits of crunchy sugar with strong, amazing coffee and creamy ice cream. Our server didn’t mind the wad of cash and a couple cards we gave him for the bill either.Note: There was a 20% gratuity added for our large group which is a bit steep but in the end he earned it.Overall I would give this place a 97% satisfaction rating from our whole group, it was awesome!
GREAT Happy Hour.Do NOT go here in a group larger than four, unless you want to sit outside (good in the summer, not so good the rest of the year).Enjoyed the Rosamaria cocktail (vodka, limoncello, sugared rosemary rim).Free pizza over happy hour: we tried a slice of the Margherita (fresh mozzarella, tomato, olive oil, basil) and it was lovely. I am not a fan of thin-crust pizza, but it was good. The table split an order of Tiramisu (lady fingers, mascarpone, chocolate, espresso) and it had a subtle flavor but was quite nice.Atmosphere was wonderful – cozy, dark, candle-lit.
