The food here comes out of jugs, cans or bags. You can tell the BBQ pork came right out of a tub and onto a bun. Don’t waste your time or money go to Jim bobs instead.
Shockingly awful. This used to be a great spot when it was in McKenna. Since moving to Yelm we have visited half a dozen times, each with a horrible experience. Terrible service. We were the only ones in the restaurant yet it still took over 45 minutes for our food. The kitchen staff was hollering and having a great time while we sat there watching half of our dinner sit in the window getting cold while waiting. Steak was ice cold, salad was wilted and from a bag. Such a shame. When we complained to the manager, they acted like they were shocked that we were unhappy. Never again. I would rather eat at McDonalds….at least it is served hot.
Not impressed with the BBQ at all. Had the brisket and it was tough and just tasted like brisket cooked in the oven with BBQ sauce. The BBQ chicken was the same. Even the tater tots were over cooked. It took a very long time to get our food and there was only one other table here. We drove from Olympia to try this place. Too bad. Really looking for good BBQ places.
The food is good but don’t stop here if you’re in a hurry.
A local treasure. Whether I’m stopping in for a burger or I’m craving a banana split milkshake on the way home, the Bunkhouse never fails to please and satisfy. The food is delicious and the staff is always super friendly. They deviously put the restaurant between work and home thus tempting me daily.
Beef Brisket To Die For. I havent tasted beef brisket this good even in texas. This place knows Barbeque! Great Breakfast menu too!
Outstanding place! It’s small, service has always been awesome, food is simple and good!
