Go For The Experience, NOT The Food. We arrived after a day at Mt. Rainier and wanted to treat our grandchildren to eating here since they asked if they could. We were the only people in the dining car and it took forever to get service as I believe the one waitress they had was playing bus boy, waitress, bartender and cook. All I wanted was a green salad and I am NOT joking when I say they charge more for a salad $15.99 then they do for burgers. I passed!! My husband and grandson ordered burgers and fries and said they were good. My older granddaughter ordered spaghetti and after taking a bite refused to eat the rest. I tasted it, noodles with canned tomatoes it was so NOT spaghetti and NOT even Ragu which would have at least had some taste to it! The youngest ordered grilled cheese which on our trip was filled with nicely melted cheese and browned to perfection. You stop in here for the photo op or the experience, not the food! Next time we will pack KFC and take pictures inside and out.

Loved the place. I live in Morton and I go there because of the food. I can not believe all the bad reviews . I have eaten there at least 5 times and never have had a bad meal and I never have had to wait for over 20 min.( great service). I have had the Buffalo burger and it was wonderful . I love the curly fries and they can make a good drink. I have always eaten in the bar. They have the best smoked BBQ ribs I have ever eaten and they melt in your mouth. The reviews I have read don’t even sound like it is the same place. I feel that people love to write bad things more then when they have written good. things . So if you are reading this please check it out your self because it is obvious that People never have anything nice to say when they get good food and Service. I will be back there and I am having a birthday dinner there this Sunday May 26th and I know I am going to have a great meal. 🙂
Railroad Dining Nightmare! …. Railroad Dining Nightmare!Looks cool from the outside. Inside is dirty, the carpet is filthy! The food was overpriced for the poor quality served. And they messed up my burger. Never again!!
Outside is wonderful…down hill from there.. We drove home this way after going to Northwest Trek and we thought that a meal in a train car would be just the end to the trip we needed. The outside is wonderful but the inside has none of the original feel of the car and it so tacky. As for the service it was poor, there is hardly any room in there for lots of people but it still took forever to get service.The food was horrible. My fiance’s fries were so over cooked they were burnt and my medium rare looked like it had been lightly touched on both sides for a hint of brown. I sent it back it came back Well WELL done. And they seemed ticked that I sent it back at all, and I was friendly about it.Food is very expensive and not worth it in any way shape or form. Even what was cooked decently was still bland or just nothing special. Don’t let the outside charm fool you, they need to do a major overhaul before this place will be worth anything.
Roadkill. We spent an enjoyable day at Mount Rainier. Thought it would be fun to dine here. Boy were we ever wrong. Poor service, lousy food, and terrible decor. $30 for two hamburgers, fries, and drinks was a huge ripoff. Poor waitress was also the cashier, bartender, and bus person. Felt sorry for her, even more sorry for the food they served. Never again
Horrible place overpriced. My Buffalo Burger was not cooked all the way. We waited over an hour for food and had to pay 15% gratuity.do not go here. Horrible service. Go to scale Burger across the street.
