Ok..ok.. This place isn’t much to look at. Dining in is like eating inside an old, poorly decorated office building BUT..the BBQ is fantastic!! I would suggest grabbing some bbq to go and possibly grab your sides from a local drive through. I know it seems like a lot of work but they do a great job with their meat. But say no on the sides unless you like hospital food.

Sides are just OK. A friend of mine and I visited and had brisket sandwiches and ordered a beef rib for each of us. The sides were okay. But the brisket was really nice – the sandwich wasn’t loaded with sauce – most places kill the protein by dousing it in too much sauce. It was nice for a change to be able to see that the brisket was the star of the show and not a lot of sauce. Whenever I try a new place that has BBQ on their signage, I order the brisket because it is one of the more difficult of all of the common meats to get right. They do know what they are doing. The sauce is okay, thankfully there was just a smattering of it on the sandwich or else I would have been disappointed.

TENDER N SMOKEY. I have only had the pork spare ribs and beef ribs, both were very tasty on 2 visits. Cole slaw and potato salad were OK sides, and beans were good too. I had a piece of chocolate cake on my last visit that was very good for a simple piece of cake, I will get it every time if its available.

Portion size was small for the price. Was that a microwave going off to prepare some of my food? It’s good BBQ for the Northwest, but mediocre BBQ if you’ve visited anywhere that takes BBQ seriously.
