Great location, food. The location is a draw, for sure, but the restaurant offers absolutely solid American Chinese food. The night I and three relatives were there, I ordered the wrong thing (something safe, fine, and bland), while my tablemates ordered more interesting food that they raved about.On that night, too, two of the dishes came with beautiful, elaborate vegetable carvings.
Surprised in Port Townsend. Sometimes you are surprised by a gem of a restaurant in an unexpected location. Port Townsend was not where I thought I might find an excellent Chinese restaurant, but it was. Great food, very well prepared using local ingredients (Salmon Fried Rice, Sizzling Halibut stir fry, the best Egg Foo Young I’ve had in years). Don’t let the appearence deceive you: the decor is standard 1950’s Chinese restaurant but the food is first rate with very reasonable prices and friendly service.
Wonderful view and really great food and service
View of the water and mountains,. Located in an ancient waterfront building. Large dining area. Pictures of fishermen with giant halibut catches. Decent, reliable food, generous lunch specials, steamy towels to clean your hands and orange boats to enjoy for dessert. I really like Shanghai.
