My wife and I ate at the Belmont. It has a quaint old world charm and nice view of the sound. We ordered crab and artichoke dip and the coconut prawns which were both very good. I ordered the seafood linguine. The pasta comes in a big bowl with mussels and small clams and salmon. There was no sauce just buttery water filling the bowl. The salmon was flavorless and the mussels had a strong sour ammonia smell and taste to them which I later discovered indicates they had gone bad. I returned the dish after a few bites and was not charged for it.The staff were very professional and pleasant, but I think they may need new cooks.

This is my mother’s favorite restaurant in Port Townsend, so we always stop by for lunch if we happen to be in town.Great service, an outside deck by the water if weather permits and good food.

The wife and I were traveling through Port Townsend from Lake Oswego, Oregon. We went to the Belmont for drinks and dinner. We wanted to start with drinks at the bar, but they made us sit at a table in the dining room. I think the upstairs bar was closed, but since that is where restaurants make their real money, I think they need to re-think that idea. They have a nice outside deck right on the water … But it was way too cold to sit outside. We did have a nice table with a water view.I had the Rib Eye steak which was good size, and nice flavor with a good seasoning. The wife had the salmon but it was overcooked and she did not really care for it. They have a pretty good wine selection. This is a nicer place, but you can come dressed casual. The staff is very nice and friendly.I would recommend that you spend your hard earned money here.Enjoy MORRY

We had the best time. Sean, our waiter was great!! This was the best food and dining experience we have had since moving to Port Townsend. I left feeling pampered and satisfied. Can’t wait to go back.

Stick to the Clam Chowder. Ribeye was thin and tasteless, my Wife’s filet wasn’t much better, the side dishes were not much better, go for lunch and the clam chowder and go somewhere else for dinner…God only gives you so many meals, make them count!!!

Consistent. We ate at the Belmont again today and on a freezing Friday mid-afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Needless to say, Monette’s service was excellent, as was the Blue Cheese Lover’s Salad ‘starter’ (when the say blue cheese lover they mean it–lots of blue), the Lobster Bisque with sherry, and the Hot Plate Special (red snapper with pasta). Throw in some Alaskan Amber and a blue sky and flat water to watch the mergansers and loons while we ate–and call it good.

Waterfront deck with beach access is wonderful in the summertime. Wide array of seafood, beef, poultry, salads ect. Try the bleu cheese filet mignon with balsamic caramelized onions yum!
