We like The Cup. We eat here often. The food is good as well as the service. It has become a well thought of local restaurant. They started serving dinner a while back and it is great..try the hamburger….fabulous. They also serve wine and beer. You can’t miss with the breakfast as well. I know they have had an occasional service issue but you have to cut them some slack. The food is worth it!
My favorite place. I love The Cup. I can always count on quality when I visit the cup. From the perfect bacon to the perfect wine, I am never left wanting. The menu has a great variety and one can always find just the right meal for the moment, and within the budget. Service always comes with a genuine smile. I am a big fan of The Cup and am definitely becoming a regular.
The Cup is more than half empty. Today was so pretty, I decided to eat a late lunch on the patio at the Cup.I ordered the smoked salmon salad. Three giant mealy tomato wedges were thrown over a hacked, no salad dressing, mish mash of romaine scraps. The salmon bits were hard as leather chunks and dark brown as if they had been sitting on the counter for a couple of days. Giant, unchopped walnut halves and one big ice cold wet glop of a tablespoon of ‘caramalized’ onions was buried under the disaster salad. It was $13 plus, and as I told the waitress, it was inedible.I suggest that you take this off the menu. The waitress was friendly, but new and inexperienced. Her third day, she said. When she asked how the meal was and I said I could not eat it, she apologized but made no offer to take it back and bring a different selection. And she overcharged my credit card for the meal by $8. Since she did not know how to cancel and rebill me, she brought me ‘change’ of $8. That probably had you trying to balance your till that night.I do not fault the waitress, everyone has to learn the ropes. And she will confirm that I was very gentle and understanding with her.But as owners, leaving an inept staff struggling with operating The Cup for you, is a really unfortunate decision.I was lucky in weather today, and was not expecting Wolfgang Puck. But I am concerned that such poor fare is being offered to customers at very pricey rates. Customers are hard to come by, and should be treated [email protected]
