Blech…. My wife and I were looking for some low mein on a Saturday night, but we were very disappointed in what we were served. The food smelled terrible. Our egg rolls were squishy on the outside and the filling was mushy and indistinguishable. The chow mein smelled terrible, the meat was poor quality, and the vegetables were straight from a mixed frozen veggies bag. Steer clear of Golden Lion.

Fresh veggies no surprise. My wife and I went here after going to the farmers market nearby and had the Kung Pao Chicken, and I was happy to find that they actually made it spicy with fresh celery added along with the usual diced water chestnuts and peanuts. Soup was flavorful without being too salty, but I didn’t like the peas (I just don’t like peas period). Egg roll was large and handmade (not the usual frozen style). Large and tasty portions for the price paid. I’d eat here again (maybe next time we get more fresh fruit and veggies from the farmers market).
