Great service, the food is fantastic and it’s super clean here. Would definitely come back if I’m in the area. The prime rib hash is to die for!
Great brunch!. My husband, dad, and I visited Green Light Diner for the first time this past weekend, and it was terrific. Both husband and dad loved their food, and as for me, I’d never heard of a Hangtown Fry, but I like oysters so I gave it a try. My only regret is that husband and I were visiting from North Carolina and thus I cannot eat a Hangtown Fry every weekend. As for the diner itself, the ambience was great, and customer service was spot-on. Our waitress was super friendly, and we appreciated that she came back to double check how my dad wanted his eggs before they were cooked. Thanks for the great brunch — my Dad said he will definitely be back!
Twice dissapointed. I have gone there twice now and been very unhappy with the par of food. The service has been good, but the food felt like a waste of a meal out. It looks like they put a lot of effort into the decor when they switched formats, but it’s a shame because the food isn’t very good. They will probably do okay by attracting unsuspecting tourists in to eat that don’t have very high expectations, but locals that know all of the wonderful food choices in Poulsbo will likely not frequent there more than once. They should’ve stuck with Mor-Mor.
Cold food, forgetful service, a disappointment. I wish I liked it better. The flavors were good but the service spoiled the meal with tepid shrimp soup, cold toast with a smear of un-melted butter. All in all, not ready for prime time. An amateurish performance.
Oh, try the pineapple upside down cake. The Green Light Cobb salad is Big . . . so share it so you can have the dessert. Share it too. The dessert is the size of a large muffin, topped with a pineapple ring, vanilla ice cream, whip cream, drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with a cherry. The dessert and a glass of milk or cup of coffee is a meal . . . and oh so worth the calories! The service is quick, very pleasant and the menu if very complete. Don’t let the name diner make you shy away. It is a delightful stop for any meal.
