The best Cajun crawfish I’ve had in town. The seafood is definitely fresher and better than Crawfish King in the ID. Be sure to order bread, because you will want to soak up that sauce!!
Not fresh king crab legs. This place is totally not comparable to Boiling Crab. Apart from that, their king crab legs $19.99/lb were not fresh at all. They have been sitting in the fridge for a very long time, maybe coz they were pricer??. She asked us to order 3lb between the 4 of us. Good that we only ordered 2 and we only finished half of them (coz of the quality) Blue prawn $14.99/lb – best dish of the night, at least they were fresh. I saw the table beside us ordered the gulf shrimp $9.99/lb and that didn’t look fresh either. Clams $8.99/lb and Mussels $9.99/lb. The mussels were just those frozen New Zealand ones. I was expecting those smaller fresh blue mussels. Oysters $8.99/6 they were fresh but they were not fancy types. Fried mushrooms $5.99 – another highlight of the night. At first they told us they don’t have that and later she came back to tell us that they found it at the back of the fridge. I guess nth can go wrong with deep fried. Back to the sauces. They were heavily Asian fusioned. I personally like the original cajun but most of the others like the Whole Boom-bang better. The original cajun tasted the most authentic, just the water-downed version. Whole Boom-bang tasted like those thicker sauce u can get Chinese restaurants. Very strong garlicky too. Lemon and pepper – very strong taste of lemongrass and peppery. We also ordered a French bread but the sauces were too salty for us to dip. I found most of the Cajun crawfish places are owned by Vietnamese owners. Can anyone explain this???Last word of caution – lower down your spiciness! We asked to lower them down after the first dishes. The server was not too happy with that and she told us that the kitchen had prepared already.
Simple, well prepared seafood and very nice servers who are the owners children.
Tasty seafood at reasonable prices. I’ve had several positive experiences eating at Cajun Crawfish. The setup is unique (you order a pound of seafood cooked in sauce with optional add-on s like sausage, corn, etc.), and the food quality is good.
