Similar in ambience to the Queen Anne store, Homegrown in Redmond made the same fresh, tasty sandwiches as well.I had the pecan chicken salad, the exact same one I had in Queen Anne, and I got quite the same sandwich — with moist chicken, cherries and pecans; most important of all, in a toasty, warm soft bread. DH tried the new BBQ chicken bacon ranch, a recipe co-develop with Tom Douglas, it was just ok to me. For some reasons, even with bbq sauce, bacon, and ranch, the flavors were not very dynamic to me.There are cute outdoor seating at the Redmond store, which makes the place inviting. At the back, Molly Moon ice cream for sale in the freezer case. Homegrown’s price is not cheap, but it is the price to pay for local/organic food. doofniks.com
This is a nice place for trying out organic dishes likes salads or sandwiches. Tried the grilled chicken salad with green leafs and ranch. Healthy but an average taste option. One negative point is its over-prized list.
I thought the prices were high, especially for the portions, but the food is still amazing to me. They’re vegetarian-friendly, and they use wholesome ingredients. This place is one of my favorite places to stop by for a quick healthy lunch, or to grab a sandwich on the go.
Totally over priced and had no flavor. I had the capese sandwich and for a veggie option this is a pretty hard thing to screw up. Congrats! If you’re going to have a highfalutin type sandwich shop where a whole sandwich is 6 inches long and costs $9 try to make it taste great!!! I actually thought about driving back and throwing the other half out my car window at your front door.
Great sandwiches – but like all the other new lunch options in downtown Redmond, you’ll pay $11 for a half sandwich, beverage and a cookie.
