Fabulous Lunch. I took my girl friend here for lunch (who is moving to Washington DC).. The food was fabulous, the service was so cheerful and wonderful. We of course had to do some shopping for treats, Christmas surprises, and cheese. It was all so wonderful. Thank you for making this very sad occassion so special.
Not much to say good sbout eating here. Food is bland and often comes to your table warm at best. I try ever few months hoping it will be better, but alwsys disappointed. The store next door is gun. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Different. HAD LUNCH TODAY AND IT WAS EXCELLENT. Recomend the place. The portions maybe a little small for the price. Small fish & chips = 1 piece, Large fish & chips 2 piece, WOW?I use a ‘walker’ with wheels and did not like the way I was treated. Greeted by a lady in black with her hair piled on top. She was kind of ‘cold’ and had no smile. No ring showing. The place was close to empty and she was going to seat us at at small table in a bad spot. We ask to be moved.Later the lady seated a couple at a table nearby. She took my walker away saying ‘needed more space’ and will bring it back shen we were finished.. There was plenty of room for the walker. There was no bathroom break for me.I felt like a ‘secomd classs’ old person with everybody looking at me.As I said the meal was excellent.I also had a coke and ask for a refilled. The lady said, ‘We charged for a ‘refill’. ‘How much?’ I asked. She said, ‘It is the same as the first one.’ That is not a refill it is a new drink. Ripoff I would say. The ice tea cost the same and you get a refill when yoiu ask FOR FREE.We paid our bill and waited for the walker. Oh! Well!, you know my wife had to go look for it.I would go back, but all hands off my walker and ice tea please.Guess, one can not find good help these days. Are you treated in England like this?
Good food decent price. I ate lunch here the other day and I had the fish and chips, I was seated promptly and ordered my food and had it at the table fairly quickly. The fish was cooked perfectly, nice and flakey with a crisp golden crust and not greasy, served with a very good tarter sauce and vinegar. The chips (fries) were nice and thick and crisp as well $12 for two pieces of fish and chips isn’t horrible but not cheap. I will definitley dine here again.
British Pantry, Redmond. Our fav Sunday breakfast, but have it with coffee. Love the Brit HP sauce in lieu of ketchsup.
Meat Pies Oh My..!. If you’re craving hearty, pasty (that’s right, pasty) goodness, this is the place. Their meat pies, also known as pasties, are one-of-a-kind. A small dinner menu with the basic English fare of pies is offered. I’d also highly recommend the Shepard’s Pie…or ask them to make the Chicken Curry pie from the lunch menu..they usually will… While your waiting, have a cup of tea or read the old periodicals and books lining the walls.
