Just never good enough. They aren’t terrible, sure, but they have never been really good either, and for what they charge for their burgers I was expecting more. I have been to this location and one other up in Spokane, and both times I thought they were too much grease, not enough taste.

The hype doesnt match the food.Set aside all the self promotion plastered on every square inch of wall space.Set aside the peanut gimmic.Set aside the looks and eye candy of a new resteraunt. And all you got is an over priced tavern style burger. And the fries are good but not that great. What are we comparing to anyway?

The burgers have a good small-town drive-through kind of taste. However the french fries were limp and boring. The experience was mildly interesting with their unique twist of an open kitchen layout and food preparation process. This is a good restaurant for grabbing a quick tasty burger or families with kids old enough to appreciate the experience.

Five Guys is fairly new to the area so I just tried it for the first time today. The atmosphere was not what I expected walking in. I still haven’t wrapped my head around the peanut and potato boxes separating the counter and dining area. The food was great. I really like the customization of the burgers. Veggies, sauces, number of patties. Simple, great. The food is also ready fairly quickly. You have plenty of time to grab a drink, napkins (you’ll need a fair stack), ketchup and a table. The food comes in a paper bag that instantly absorbs all the grease of the french fries that gets dumped in there on top of your newly acquired foil wrapped burger. I found that really strange. I looked past it because everything was really delicious. The fries represented everything a quality french fry should. Thick, lightly salted, potato goodness. And the burger was fantastic. Juicy patty topped with fresh, thick cut vegetables and lightly sauced. The cheese was so creamy and the bun was so soft, you’d think it was freshly baked. And as for grease? Its a burger and fries. Grease should be a given. Perfection.Make sure you wear closed footed shoes when dining here though. I wore sandals because of the 100+ degree summer weather and didn’t think I would be eating in a peanut shrapnel covered baseball stadium. I had my feet up on the tables legs the entire time to avoid getting shells stuck in my sandals. I still don’t understand why there were boxes of peanuts to dig into anyway. They have no place in a burger joint. My overall first-time experience at Five Guys was pretty mixed. The food and friendly staff will definitely bring me back to dine. However, I will make sure I wear tennis shoes next time. On a side note, the classic rock station that plays overhead is a plus!

How could you not live this place! Wonderful burgers fixed just the way you like. Killer fries & a pop dispenser from the next century. Great friendly service, clean, good tasting food, reasonable. Okay the line….. But it moves quickly. Go! Enjoy!!
