Greek Islands was full today at lunch. There were no seats. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. On their recommendation, I had the souvlaki with salad. It was very good. Portion size was right for lunch. The drink cups were plastic and the lids did not fit. The kitchen delivered my meal in under 10 minutes by when I had a seat. I will be going back.
We both had gyros. If you don’t know what a gyro is supposed to taste like, maybe you’d be happy with it. If you like Greek food…go elsewhere!!! Gyro had meat and tomatoes on fried bread. Greek fries were cheap fries with a tiny bit of feta. Tastes like white people are trying to make Greek food. If you want good Greek food, go to Gyro House in Yakima made by real Muslim cooks! Gyro comes with tons of vegetables. Greek fries come with real chunks of feta and too die for garlic sauce. Plus it’s cheaper and comes with drink!!!
My daughter and I were in town from Yakima for the Nutcracker Ballet and decided to try this place for dinner. I got the Gyro Calzone which was huge and incredibly delicious, especially dipped in their rich tzatiki sauce. My picky 6 year old had the chicken souvlaki skewers with pita and fries and happily ate it all. I even got another calzone to go for my boyfriend back home because it was just too good for him to miss it.
