I really wanted this place to be great, but after many tries, it continues to be mediocre. It has so much potential…great location, nice decor, nice people and even decent menu–even if same as everywhere else. Where it falls short is consistency, particularly the food. More than half the time, I’ve had to send my meal back for either not be prepared as described or something was missing, something was over/under cooked or something else. Service is slow and wait staff aren’t paying attention to what they deliver, putting food on the table that clearly isn’t right. Many of my meals have been comped by manager. Hope management starts paying attention to consistency so Hop Jacks transforms itself to a neighborhood gem. Crossing fingers.
Mediocre bar food. Salty+greasy but still kinda tasty if you’re in the mood for that kind of food. Our family goes because our kids love it. Fried pickles are yummy. Service can be inconsistent. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s mediocre. Prices decent. Menu with good selection but lacks any real healthy options.
