Oh Boy YUM. I come here every time I stay in Long Beach. There are A LOT of Great choices on their menu, Huge portion’s and friendly staff. The place is always packed and they always have a Long line at the door, which should say something about their food. What’s great is you never feel rushed inside they take their time to cook it right and make sure your enjoying yourself… Even though sometimes you feel bad for the servers cause you know they got a million things to do, they always have a smile. They even go above and beyond to make your chocolate milk feel like a special treat with its mountain of whip cream and fresh strawberry on top. I give them 10 stars and recommend them to all my friends, family, and passer by’s.
BIG Portions. And delicious too! From the gravy with biscuits to the omelettes, scrambles and pancakes–all worth trying. A wonderful breakfast joint with excellent service.

Faboo Breakfast at the Beach. We were powerful hungry on our first morning in Long Beach and ended upat Laurie’s. Amazing four pages (or more) for breakfast. We ordered omlettes: bacon blue cheese and the spanish. Portions were huge! Good crispy hashbrowns, toast and little side of coleslaw (? – palette cleanser?) Anyhoo, it was very good. We ate some and brought the rest back the hotel to heat up the next day. Decent coffee, appropriately attentive service. The waitress seemed a little thrown by the androgyny of part of our party, but that didn’t bother us! Highly recommended this place and its rooster decor.
GO HERE VERY HUNGRY!!. The meals here are not only delicious, they’re huge. Delicious and hot homemade breakfasts. The oatmeal is so good and in all the many times I have had it, I have never been able to finish it. Good coffee too.
Lot’s of food. No, LOTS of food!. We’ve been here before and it is still great. They give you a lot of food, but it’s not just a lot, it’s good. Today we had oatmeal with nuts, apples and marionberries. It is really good, steel cut oatmeal. The only weird thing is that the nuts were peanuts instead of the walnuts or pecans I would have expected. One in our party had a Denver omelette, also very good. One of my granddaughters had peanut butter pancakes (about 3 times as much as she could eat) and the other had a chocolate chip pancake. That was a mistake. We told them not to put ice cream on it, and instead they put a mountain of whipped cream on it that we had to scoop off. My only criticism is that they should have a kids’ menu and smaller portions.
Best breakfast in Long Beach! All other breakfast places should be measured against this one.
