Excellent food and ambiance. My wife had the salmon. I had the mushroom-stuffed chicken breast. Both were extraordinary – moist and delicious. Service was very pleasant. They had a woman playing beautiful and soothing music on a grand piano, a nice complement to the meal. Great place.

Too pretentious. I had the razor clams that were ok, a lille heavily breaded but the flake salt was good. The greens were VERY good. I took home a bowl of the famous soup & it was not that good. The soup & the table water had too much dill in it…pretentious. The $5 milkshake was good as was the beer selection. When we walked in there was no one to greet us. We looked, & called out but no one responded. Another dinner said to have a seat. We later learned our waitress was serving a luncheon in the private dinning room.

Not the same restaurant. This place is definitely not the same after former owners left. Food is just so-so and the prices are the same or higher. I wouldn’t waste my time or money here anymore. I miss the old Shelburne!

Wonderful place. Got in late and kitchen was ready to feed us. Polenta and mushroom was fantastic as was the mussle chowder. Not cheap but worth the price. Table water interesting with citrus and fresh Rosemary sprigs we loved it. Service excellent. If you are in the area worth the trip.
