Nice food, incredibly good value.Got the $5 beef brisket sandwich from the Smokehouse’s food truck. Quick, helpful service and tasty, enjoyable food at a very affordable lunch price.
The best smoked salmon….but….. I love Larrys packaged smoked salmon, the best I’ve ever had, its moist and has just the right seasoning, not to salty or dry like some I’ve had if that is what Larry’s known for he’s got it……..but…. I just wasn’t to crazy about some of the side dishes that were served. Like the the baked beans, they tasted more like something from a can rather than homemade and home made is soooo easy and cheap to make and not to mention the taste. I didn’t think the slaw was all that great either, I’ve had much better. I like my slaw the more creamer and sweeter. I’ll have to admit the barbacue sauce wasn’t the greatest and if it was better it sure would do the pork good, not just tasting like another run of the mill baracued pork….poor pork!! I also thought the salmon served warm was too dry, I like it more on the rare side or just done to ensure its moistness like the packaged salmon. I feel the secret of good salmon is not an over cooked salmon. When it is over cooked it becomes too dry and boring, not for very good eaten in my boat. I love salmon but won’t even eat it if it’s dry unless its in a dish of somesort. I’m guessing the smoked salmon is warmed up to serve which makes it more done, where I would prefer it more on the room temp. or even cold side just to avoid getting it dried out from the heating. Real friendly guy , that Larry, loved him, just get a few good recipes for your side dishes and cooking techiques and the right cooks that want to make a difference and you’ll have them comming back for more which I’m sure you already do with your smoked salmon. I know I’ll be getting some more as soon as I can. Good Luck and God Bless!
Rude staff, bad food.. The food is average at best. If you must go, get the ham sandwich. It’s the only thing that is even average. The sauce is terrible, so get it on the side and see if you like it first. I’ve only had the salmon a couple of times, and it wasn’t very good. It is farmed atlantic salmon and doesn’t have the flavor of wild pacific salmon that is so easy to get hear in Washington. But anyway, the BBQ sauce is horrible with anything but the ham or salmon. The two ladies who work the counter are very rude. I’ve been coming here a couple times per week for about 6 months (only because it is close to my work) and I’m treated very rudely each time. The owner has recently been printing and handing out chain emails encouraging things like 10 commandments monuments at government buildings. If I wanted a sermon, I’d go to a church. I go here for a cheap sandwich. I think I probably won’t be back. They get 1 star because their prices are cheap.
Ok food but but a turkey runs the place. So many great places to eat in Mill Creek….why support a jerk??
