I stopped coming here after watching a lazy waitress use the phone for twenty minutes and ignored the customers. Long wait for Luke warm food that is bland. The service is terrible, they never refill your coffee, and the food isn’t any better.
I had wanted to go here for quite some time hearing how good the food was but, I will never go here again! After 3 failed attempts over the last year to call in an order for pick up (I was told they couldn’t accommodate because of being out of to go boxes, all 3 times) I decided to try to dine-in. We went at 3:30 on a Saturday and it wasn’t very busy but there was ample staff available. To start, the service was horrible. The server brought out half of our food then went to seat some new customers that had come in which apparently caused them to forget to bring the rest of our food. We had to track down a server to ask for the rest of our order. Getting refills on coffee and water also appeared to be a huge inconvenience for them requiring us to flag them down from across the restaurant. When we got our food, it was delicious but that was overshadowed when we got our bill; the amount of tax they tried to charge was not correct. I brought this to the cashier’s attention and she tried to tell me it was correct. Using basic math skills, I showed her they were charging 15.4% tax instead of the 9.2% it should have been. I know this might seem petty but we had already paid a $2.50 surcharge at the ATM. They don’t have a real register there, they do everything by hand and use a calculator stuck to the counter to add it all up. The tax is programmed into the calculator so the cashier just hits the tax button not knowing what they’re actually charging people. This is a very unethical business practice and I wonder how many other people have been overcharged without noticing.
Very poor service from the waitress. The special for breakfast was short on items at 930am with very few customers.
I had never been here before but heard good things! I Was completely disgusted with the way the manager and the cashier treated myself and people I was there with! We asked them for separate tickets and they said they could divide it up later! When we went to pay they said they could not do this and refused to be helpful!! They were rude and said it says we don’t do that on the menu!! Who reads a menu word for word? There is a sign on the door that says it too but the door was propped open and the sign could not be seen!! So rather than keep three new customers they refused to help us!! Well I have a big mouth and lots of friends!!! I will NEVER suggest your establishment to anyone and believe me they will know my story!! By the way they only accept checks but of course have their own cash machine charging $2.50 plus your bank charge!! Rude unhelpful manager and cashier on 9/23/12 at about 11:30AM- don’t waste your money or time…
Exceptionally poor customer service. I can’t even justify one star for this restaurant. Terrible experience today and we ended up leaving over the manager’s attitude and treatment. It started with their sign indicating they could only accept cash or checks. We had out of town guests and they would not accept an out of state check. Odd due to their location right next to the freeway and nearby hotels. Something funny is going on with the inability to accept credit or debit cards – same thing was taking place at the Mill Creek facility that closed suddenly in February. They make it sound like a ‘temporary’ problem with their machine, but you’ll notice that another reviewer noted the same experience in Feb 2011.When we asked for some leniency in thier policy regarding not splitting checks since we would have to have cash or checks, the manager was rude and uncompromising, telling us to ‘take it or leave it’ – which we did. The restaurant was not busy and there was an abundancce of wait staff. We didn’t see the big problem with writing 3 different tickets, or offering to give us the subtotal amounts by party. Pretty stupid. As we left, one of our party offered to pay for the coffee they had poured for us and mentioned disatisfaction. The manager raised his arms in the air and told him to just get out. Extremely rude.We did leave and went right across the freeway to Shawn O’Donnell’s – a great place to eat with great wait staff, interested in making your experience a good one – which it was.We have always enjoyed Patty’s Egg Nest, but normally go to the one in Mukilteo, which is awesome and owned by a different Chinn brother. The ones designated ‘Patty’s Eggnest and Turkey House’, such as this one are owned by another brother. We will continue to frequent the Mukilteo location for an awesome breakfast, but will never again go to this one on 128th near the freeway. Of course, it may go the same way as the one in Mill Creek if they continue to treat their customers as we were treated.
Service was great, we went on a busy Saturday morning and the lot was full which is always a good sign! I had the mini biscuits and gravy which was gigantic!! Very good.. Awesome gravy and soft warm biscuit. Order your egg over medium at least! I did and it was under cooked. That was the only criticism! Everything else about this place I liked a lot. Will def be back.
Loosen your belt…. I’m surprised that this location is only rated at 50%. Patty’s is awesome. The staff is friendly (a little slow at times) and the prices are on point. The food is amazingthe biscuits and gravy and fresh toast are my favorites. The omelets are huge and jam-packed with fresh vegetables and meat. This place deserves a much better rating.
