Had a great experience. Got two GF pizzas for husband who has celliac. Nice to see that they took cross contamination seriously. Enjoyed the chicken bacon ranch and Hawaiian. I hear great things about their salads and house dressing. Conveniently close to the Harmon brewery too.
My daughter went there on Friday 2/19/2014 at 1045am. Was at her table and was approached by a aggressive panhandler that beg her for money than begged for more money and than a slice of her pizza, staff were to busy to help her so she left because it was so uncontrollable for her and her two year old son. As she left the woman ate was was still left on the table. Then she asked the next customer. This is unacceptable. When I called to speak to a manager about 1230pm, he told me that he (Matt) didn’t witness that today almost applying we made this up and the most insincere apology, sorry that happened to your daughter was all I got. And we try to keep it under control but we were busy ok but how is that my daughter’s fault. To where she had to be the one who left and the panhandler was still there targetting other paying customers. Even when I called he seemed to busy to address my complaint. This was a horrible experience for my daughter and unacceptable, who wants to get targeted by a panhandler at your table in their restaurant. At least he could of asked for my daughter’s name and offered her a coupon to come back to make it more of a better experience or a refund, something. Staff r so unprofessional.

So close to NY, I feel like I am back home!. I am a huge fan of this place. Being from New York and now living here on the west coast, the pizza is what I miss most! It’s not 100% NY pizza but it’s pretty darn close. The right balance of sauce, cheese and grease! Yum! Also….they always fool you with the delivery time. If they say 45 minutes it’s always earlier….always a treat!
Good Pizza. Abella has some good pizza. Not the best in town but it hits the spot. They have a pretty good menu with many different types of pie. They also deliver! So if you live in the Downtown Tacoma or Hilltop area it is a good alternative to the big chains. It is also more affordable then the other downtown pizza places.
