This was my first time visiting Azteca and I must say, the place is pretty great. Our server eagerly met us at the hostess stand and sat us right away (5pm on a Monday) there were a few other guests but not crazy busy. We got the queso dip which our server recommended and it was fantastic. I had the carnitas tacos and they were also really good. My buddy had the burrito dos machos and he really enjoyed it. The portions here are overly large which is fine for me because I like leftovers 🙂 especially for the cheap price! The restaurant manager stopped by a couple times to make sure things were alright which is a huge plus in my book. Our server, Izet, was very curious and knowledgeable about the menu. She was always on top of things and we never had an empty glass! I highly recommend you give this place a try.
Bottom line, this place sucks. It’s not even good fake Mexican.
After living in Arizona for four years, my husband and I LOVE Mexican food, as in the authentic kind. This isn’t Mexican food, it’s just a bad version of Tex-Mex… I mean, American cheese throughout the menu, blah. We went with some friends and won’t be going back. There are much better Mexican restaurants all over Tacoma.
Yum!. I’ve always loved Azteca restaurants. Delicious food, nice, open atmosphere, and nice servers. Takes a while to get your food though.
We really like Azteca – they are great if you needs substitutions due to food allergies and are very undertanding with kids. Ask for server Kelli – a wonderful server!
Decent. Azteca has a very manufactured feeling atmosphere. The food takes a while so be prepared to wait but it is fairly good just not outstanding.
