WIth new ownership comes a renewed sense of purpose. So I had the opportunity to experience Cafe Divino under old ownership and on a regular basis with new ownership. Take note future diners…There’s a revival down on 30th Street in Old Town and it’s being led by Cafe Divino’s new owners. The eclectic duo are retooling the menu, providing an expansive drink list and of course pouring the vine. I am blessed to be 2 doors away and have made it my go to place. It’s all about innovation, a sense of higher purpose and love of people. The new crew understand that and are working feverishly to make the experience in Old Town memorable enough so you come back. I am truly enjoying watching their progress. Come on down and people watch from the street while sipping a wonderfully refreshing aperitif. Cheers!!

Nice Evening Place. My mom and have have been twice. The first time shared dinner, crabcakes. Food really good for such a small place. Nice location and atmosphere. Next time came for desert, needed to try the tiramisu. Was really good! Was impressed with the wine rec to go with the desert! Look forward to going back.

Just what we needed to make our day better!. What a great date night or solo seating! Food was spectacular. Atmosphere & owner were great. Great rec on wine! Definitely going back!

Will never go back. Very disappointing. The service was TERRIBLE and they made us feel very unwelcome and unwanted. We gave it a couple of tries, but the last visit was so bad that we will never return. There are many far better wine bars in Tacoma.

I’ve Had Better. There are better wine bars in Tacoma. While lovely, and in a good location (Old Town Tacoma on 30th very close to the water), I wasn’t overly impressed. They have some good wines there, and I discovered one of my favorites there. The problem was that I paid about $8 for a glass of it (Gascon Malbec – great stuff), and then found it a week later at Trader Joe’s for about $10 for the bottle. Now I buy the whole bottle and drink it at home for much cheaper. While I realize that Wine Bars need to turn a profit, that seems to be a pretty hefty profit for a fairly cheap bottle wine. I have always been of the opinion that good wine bars should offer wines that you can’t normally buy locally, and that they shouldn’t charge for one glass what they pay for the entire bottle. The food was okay (it took about 40 minutes to get our okay pizza), wine list was good, but it’s a bit overpriced. Drive up the hill and make a left on Proctor, and another left onto 26th to look at the selection of food and wine at Pour at Four. It’s more worthy of your money.
