I’ve been going to Europa Bistro since it was half the size. It was really good back when it was small, and then pretty good, and now I may finally be convinced to stop going. The service is fine – not great but not terrible. The food just sort of falls flat. At least the pasta has of late. My husband had the fusilli Russo last time and it was just… Boring. I had the lasagna and it was all tomato and not a lot of other favors. The ambience is nice, though, and the owner is friendly.
Our new favorite Italian restaurant in Tacoma!. I don’t know why we waited so many years to try this restaurant. The Pomodoro was booked for the evening and we did not have reservations, so we wandered over to Europa Bistro. The food was fantastic, and the hospitality bar-none. My partner lived in Sicily for two years and was impressed with the authentic atmosphere. The Chef/owner came out to chat with us and actually took our order. I prefer vegetarian and he was happy to modify the Fusili al Funghi with asparagus in place of sausage for me. It was SO good. My partner had Penne Norcia that was out of this world. The Montanaro appetizer was one of the best I have had at any Italian restaurant. We will be back (frequently) and will be bringing friends and family.

Delicious. Both meals here were delicious. Chicken piccata had a delicious, light sauce. The penne norcia had a rich, delicious sauce with eggplant and sausage.
Enjoyed a family dinner here. Service was just a little slow but the attitude was great. Lasagna, clams and plain cheese pizza (for the kids) were all really good. Portions were just right – nothing to lug home. Good Italian wine selections. I’ll go back, especially when the weather is cooler. Fine value for the price.
Decent Italian, but overpriced. My husband and I had the chicken parmesan and the gorgonzola risotto. The chicken part of the chicken parmesan was very good, but the linguine didn’t have enough (if any) sauce on it and was rather tasteless. The gorgonzola risotto with baby spinach was absolutely delicious. However, both dishes had garnishes which detracted from the dish – cilantro and parsley. Almost felt as if they added these just for the color and didn’t think about the taste. The complementary bread was ok, though not italian, but the olive oil dip was good. Deserts (creme brule and strawberry topped cheesecake) were just so so. Service was great, as was the atmosphere.
Good Place to eat …. This is a place we don’t go very often, and it’s not because of the prices but because of the limited selections. It may just be my taste but it doesn’t seem like they have a wide variety for teens and college kids but maybe it’s been too long since I’ve been there and would appreciate it now that I’m older. The food they do have is great … I did eventually find a pasta with chicken and mushrooms, but i think I asked if they could add mushrooms .. Good for older adults with a dim lighting atmosphere !!
