I can;t believe this is icon is here, many a meal Ive have had here right out side of the Stadium high, many great later night breakfasts here I will stop by next month for a coffee.
Ive been to The Harvester for breakfast a number of times. The food at The Harvester is what you would expect at a diner. Good pancakes, crepes with strawberry sauce and whipped cream, hashbrowns that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside (like I have tried to make at home but failed miserably at), coffee, etc. It’s a good place for a long breakfast with friends. If you’re looking for a life-changing culinary experience, this is not it, but if you want some comfort breakfast/brunch food and a cozy environment, you should give it a try.
I live two blocks away from the Harvester, and that is really the only reason I’ve been there. I will never go there again. I guess I was being too hopeful thinking it would be nice to have a good diner in my neighborhood but the harvester is bad. I took my parents there for breakfast one day when they came to visit, they live in Asia and miss American breakfasts so much, when ever they come we go to many breakfast joints. I was embarrassed that I took them there. I got the waffle with strawberries, the waitress told me they were fresh, they were from a can, and the waffle was a pancake, literally. Everything was from a mix or out of a can, it was expensive and the service was atrociouse! Do not go here, you will regret it.
If it’s your standard, greasy diner fare you’re after, it’s great. That said, it’s perfect for a hangover but not a date.
