The atmosphere and decor is pretty cool I love the candlelight setting. I was disappointed in the food it wasn’t as good as I’d hoped. The pricing is high so be prepared to spend 100$-200$ on 2-3 guests. I did enjoy the drinks and appetizers however I think I would come here again for those.

Interesting decor and menu gets this place a desire to want to try. But the desire goes away when you begin eating the food and everything taste similar. Americanized and lacking originality, this place could’ve been a winner. Too bad.

The food at Indochine is AMAZING! I could eat my way through the menu. Everything on the menu sounded great. My husband, granddaughter and I ate an appetizer and three entrees. None tasted a like. All were excellent. There are: spicy and non-spicy options, gluten free items and vegan items. The cuisine is Pan-Asian but loses nothing in its breadth. Most Pan-Asian cafes feature signature dishes from around Asia. Few execute them with the panache of Indochine. The service is impeccable. All join in a team effort to make your experience great. My cocktail was AWESOME! The only point where Indochine could have done better is my husbands Manhattan. It was shaken. Manhattans are to be stirred. The atmosphere is wonderful. The dcor is contemporary Asian. You will feel like youve been transported to the trendiest eatery in the Orient. We didnt have room for dessert. We had a lot of food to take back to our hotel room. (Dont stay at Extended Stay Tacoma South please read my review). For the quality of the food, the large portions (even the appetizer was big) and the price, Indochine is an exceptional value.Indochine sells gelato. At our servers suggestion, we had free samples. Like everything else at Indochine, it was AMAZING! And there are vegan gelato options. My husband and I are already planning to eat at Indochine the next time were in Tacoma.

Liked it. Got the basil spicy beef. Loved it. Had a 14 year old malt scotch. Smoky. Overall great atmosphere, food and drink.

Back in Form. This was a wonderful restaurant, with a sensational menu. They backed off the unusual and intriguing menu dishes for a couple of years during the recent recession, and, while the food was much more routine Thai, under the circumstances I can’t blame them for that.Looks like they’re back to the original plan! The current menu is imaginative and interesting. Leave the pad thai and other often-seen Thai dishes for the little mom-and-pop joints– This is the place for interesting and enchanting food. Watch out for those habaneros, though.

Indochine, lunch review. Recently I went to Indochine in Downtown Tacoma with my family for lunch. This was a great time of day to come in, it was peaceful, the waiter was attentive and the decor made us feel like we were whisked away halfway around the world. The Jasmine rice was fragrant and warm and the coconut curry was a delicous version of comfort food. We shared it as the portion size for the full size was more than enough for us. We will be back again soon. Teresa Potter
