Cheap and delicious. The soup selection is huge! They give out samples so you can decide what you want. I really enjoyed the bratwurst soup I had the last time and the potato soup the time before. I find the location to be a little sketch, but it adds to the experience and it is in close proximity to The Grand Cinema (which is how we found it – waiting for a film to start). The only downfall is no seating and the soup is really hot so you have to give it time to cool (not really a downfall, but when you are impatient to eat your delicious soup it can be!).

Soulful array of delicious and nutritious soups. The plusses:1. The soup is delicious!2. Huge variety3, Reasonable prices $2.50 upwards ($2.50 cup, $3.50 bowl, $4.50 half quart, $8 quart)3. Samples to try first.4. Quick service5. Caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans.Downers:1. Nowhere to sit – take out only2. You have to make up your mind pretty quickly what you want – because you hold up everyone else – esp when you are trying samples.3. Not much space to stand – you get in the way4. The outside of shop is shoddy and uninviting.5. The bread is steeply priced. Our summary: We are very willing to travel miles to come here on a day off – the soups are worth it! However, you will need to learn early on whether you prefer creamy or hearty or clear soups as your preference and look at the sheet on the counter for clues as to what will please you – and try to stick to only 1-3 samples…we love the creamy ones – part pureed/part chunky – usually has gorgonzola, parmesan or some kind of cheese – and the potato based ones are yummy – but you will discover what floats your boat the best. Once you do – its important to stick to that same family – because of the time element of going in and getting out. The menu changes every day – but they are usually only slight variations. We would hope that this place expands -because they are very popular – its never short of customers! They could get a new prime location – a bigger space to include chairs and tables, and cheaper rolls/baguettes/bread with inviting decor…because their food rocks!

Great chefs who could work on customer service skills. Love the soups here, especially anything with a thai peanut flavor, and good chili too. A couple times I would be the only one in this shop and got the vibe they did not want to be bothered by customers. Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode, but I will be back, you should check it out.

All the soups are pretty good, and samples are always readily available. I just wish the soups had more chunkies in then. Alot of thensoupsnare just broth, or with very little solid foods in them.
