I don’t usually go out of my way for doughnuts, but at the urging of my sugar deficient family, we ended up in this popular Seattle area chain. I was immediately impressed with the large selection of atypical treatsthat had my salivary glands leaking like a fire hose. Large and small, there seemed to be somethingthat appealed toeveryone. After struggling like the Beverly Hillbillies fighting over a possum burger, we agreed on a dozen and slinked off to consume our treasures. Fresh, chocolate covered, fruit filled goodness greeted us when we finally consummated our donut desires. Our favorites turned out to be the maple slathered, crumbled bacon covered bar called the Oprah, the raspberrystuffed pillows, and the large appleor blueberry fritters.
The Blueberry Cream Cheese doughnut was messy and delicious. Shout out to the friendly staff for being patient and waiting for me to make up my mind. Doggy treats looked so yummy I almost bought one for myself on accident.
Inventive and classic donuts, big an small. Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. My wife enjoyed the plain Jane, a simple glazed donut, rather than the gigantic Homer Simpson, a glazed donut bigger than my son’s head. I devoured Oprah, a maple slathered bacon donut, and I enjoyed that the bacon was crispy and crumbled into manageable chunks. My sister got the caramel, salted doughsant, and spoke highly of its flakiness and tasty caramel. The Fat Albert, a chocolate and M&M donut as round as a small basketball, became our shared treat. Very rich chocolate. Excellent. This place truly is legendary. 07/25/15
