Love the atmosphere and wide variety of menu options. Unfortunately, went in right when they reopened for dinner at 4 p.m. The chicken in the chicken teriyaki was over cooked and dry as if it had been cooked for lunch then reheated for dinner. Otherwise, lightly dressed salad was a perfect complement to the meal. Wait staff polite and attentive.
Came here on Valentine’s Day and forgot to rate the place. I give this place a 4.5 because of the quick service, delicious food, pleasant vibe, and decent prices.. I’d love to give the place 5 stars but the parking situation is a 3. However, make a reservation, find parking and make it a point to come here. I recommend the bento however we got a selection and were pleased with all as I’m sure you’ll be. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing a group to enjoy the teppanyaki and the table.

Horrible service and management.. HORRIBLE!!! The food was undercooked, tasteless, and made a disgusting soup in my plate. I felt sick after attempting to eat. Management was inept and unprofessional. I have been to this location before for celebrations (with no complaints) but this time I was absolutely disgusted with the food. What made matters worse is that management did absolutely nothing to compensate my guest and I for our unpleasant experience. I will NOT return to this establishment and I will take my friends and family elsewhere. Horrible experience.
Worth the Drive. Drove from Port Orchard to give this place a try. The service was extremely responsive and the miso was the best my wife and I’ve had. Her filet mignon and chicken was cook perfectly and my steak and mahi mahi was excellent. We were surprised and very please with the cooked veggies. It was nice to have asparagus and red peppers in the mix. All the veggies were bright in colors and lightly seasoned so we could enjoy each flavor. From start to finish we were impressed and Mandolin Sushi is now our go to place for hibachi; Definitely worth the drive for us.
The sushi was good, the presentation was nice and the staff was very nice as well.
What a great new restaurant for tacoma. Excellent menu, quality of food and service. The teppan chefs put on a great show that ends in a quality meal. Jenny and her staff make you feel like old friends! Our new favorite!@
