the staff here were super friendly. I was the only customer during their dinner hour on a week day night. I ordered a large pho and shrimp salad rolls and an ice vietnamese coffee which came to about $20. the pho broth was a little different from what I’m use to (it’s almost like one of the spices was missing but I couldn’t put my finger on it). they didn’t provide thai basil with the pho. the shrimp salad roll was standard at $4 for two rolls. the ice coffee was very concentrated and fragrant however there’s a lot of ice relative to coffee. overall, the food wasn’t amazing but the nice staff makes up for it.
Don’t pay attention to the bad review. This place is super clean and the service is excellent. The place gets very busy around lunchtime but that’s because their food is amazing and their prices are low. For under $8, you get a huge bowl of pho with lots of noodles and meat. The broth is sublime! Basil is available upon request, which I prefer because I see so many other places serve it up automatically and it all goes to waste. They have something from everyone who loves pho from brisket and tripe, chicken and a vegan option using veggie broth. The owners are super nice too!
Great Pho Ga! Probably one of the best around that i have had (and i’ve been to a lot of different pho restaurants). It’s right on the UW Tacoma campus, so if you’re a student, it’s easily accessible. Great prices too!
