I have been to this place several times (5-6) in the last couple months. Yes, it is expensive (comparable to El Gaucho). Appetizers will run anywhere from around $10 to 30ish. The wait staff is friendly and courteous. The prime rib and lobster are very good I would recommend the oysterRockefeller before foryou try anything else. The drinks are reasonably priced compared to the food. I have tried the majority of the items in the menu, including desserts. The only item that I don’t like is the short ribs. It is a bit too mushy and lack of flavor.I came back from overseas after a year and ready to have a nice dinner with my love in Jan, 2017. This is the first time I have the valet to park my car. There was a 45 min wait at the dining area. The bar area is first come first serve as usual. The hostess pointed out that a party just left a table by the window. We went and claimed that table! Bang! No waiting and window seat at night? Team America! The waiter was helpful and chimed in some input for drinks. There is a new appetizer item. The appetizer sampler now has a 4 item option. I forgot what the extra item was. I ordered a filet mignon and a lobster tail. Food was done perfectly and you can’t beat good food. For real! For the military folks, you get 20% discount! Seriously! Where else do you get this kind of discount? On top of it, go to Costco and get the gift cards, another 20% off. Combine them and you are a winner, buddy!
My wife and I went here for our Annuversary and the food and service was amazing!!!!
The bar staff were more wrapped up in socializing with friends than serving patrons. The bar was almost empty. Gives a bad rep for Tacoma. Up your game.
Slow service, foods and drinks, loud, food was not even warm. Come. In now, beautiful view cannot make up for how much everything else sucks.you’re better off eating at applebees!
Aaaaannnnndddd I couldn’t be a vegetarian with places serving this quality of meat. So Stanley and Seafort’s was recommended to me while I was in another place. I was told that it had the best prime rib I’d ever eat. I got the caesar salad (good home made dressing it tasted like) but iceberg lettuce leaves something to be desired. Good tang at the end. Coffee was strangly bitter, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Ravioli stuffed with mushrooms, braised shoulder, and the biggest star of the night; rock salt roasted prime rib (S&S cut). That sucker was 40.00, but worth every penny. Soft, tender, hot, wonderfulness. The potatoes were okay, the horseradish was strong as ever, (I mistook it for butter sitting there on top of the steak) and the au jus was FANTASTIC. The only strange thing about the plate was the fact that those string beans weren’t cooked….pretty much at all… and it tasted like fish, even the almonds that were on top of it tasted like fish…or fishy… Not a good flavor to have intermingling with the steak. I highly recommend throwing those out or telling the waitstaff to simply not put it on the plate. The ravioli were VERY good and rich, and felt as if they were home-made. Shoulder was soft, tender and on it hey.I should mention something about the view…it’s nice? Reminds me of New Britain, CT. The staff are all friendly. It does get packed and there isn’t a whole lot of room in there. The place is MOSTLY clean, but don’t look up! Those vents and registers have dust and grime that needs to be cleaned. The only other issue I had was possibly the portion size. It is a BIT small for the price, but all in all, it’s pretty much right where it needs to be.Bottom line – best prime rib I’ve ever had, anywhere in the US. I’d go back to have that again, but also try something new. Impressed with the food!
Appetizers and prime rib. Deicious, relaxing great atmosphere The place to go for my favorite steak.
The servers are amazing, friendly and attentiv…I’m in love with the lobster bisque…oh and the waffle Sunday is amazing too…it is over priced but the atmosphere and view are hard to come by….and my favorites don’t break the bank…
