I wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars for the manager! We originally came to Steel Creek to ride the bull. We were told the bull didnt start until 9:30 PM. We got to Steel Creek at 8:30 pm and the place was still empty. So we sat at the bar to have a few drinks and wait. We were sitting at the bar visiting, having some drinks and just got our food order about 10 pm. When out of no where a bouncer and manager came and took the chairs right out from under my friends. I was then informed by the manager that we had to give up our chairs and move to make way for people to stand at the bar, by the way…we were all still eating and the bar was still pretty empty. When we told the manager that that was bad customer service, he bowed up, got all mad and yelled at us that we had to move now!Well let me tell you I don’t tolerate rude people no matter what their job title is….but especially dislike rude condescending customer service people. So I told him what I thought of his people skills and lack of customer service skills just as rudely as he spoke to my group and I. Then he stalk off.We decided to leave. Paid our bill, without eating our food. Tipped our wonderful bartender, who by the way was shocked by our treatment by the manager and said if we came in another night she would make it up to us.On the way out, and I am not proud of my actions, but I allowed myself to be baited into an argument with the manager. Where he proceeded to get in my personnel space and screamed in my face that we were all 86’d for life. Really? Like I would ever spend my hard earned money at such a poorly managed place. Tacoma has to many other wonderful bars to go to put up with that lack of customer service and lack of respect.BEWARE AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

Spacious urban chic but deafly silent. Vegans go elsewhere- there’s nothing for you on the menu but salad and fries.Food is average. Prices are reasonable.Do not order the fish and chips…they don’t know how to cook fish properly.Don’t order the chocolate mousse – for the price of $5.95 its a complete rip off! It’s basically Hershey syrup in a mason jar with a non descript and non existent chocolate flavored cream with with squirty cream and two strawberries chopped into tiny pieces…save your money!

I came because of the Groupon. Coincidentally, the night was the line dance night which they teach you how to line dance. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. It does have a pretty decent size of dance floor and space for tables. I probably wouldn’t come back, since there are many more better eateries to go. I would probably even hit Harmon before this.

UPDATE: had bachelor/ettes night there recently with friends, service great, menu had generous offerings at great prices, entertainment was good…still line dancing, but didnt have to witness or hear the whole instructional, and the mechanical bull was fun. Will give it a second go. Visited January 2014, should have checked the website earlier as we arrived as the line dance classes were beginning! The baked brie with whiskey infused raspberried and walnuts was not as nice as I thought, my opinion is the quality of brie was lacking. The lobster mac and cheese was nice, as was the burger we ordered. We were informed that the specialty steak (slow cooked from memory) we wanted to order was not available on the specific night we were there, disappointing that was not on the website. Nice food I would visit again.
