Wendy’s Vietnamese. Originally at the Freighthouse Square in Downtown Tacoma, the food is favorful and the portions generous. The original kitchen sits with other mom and pop style eateries in a communial sitting area. You can watch the open kitchen as they prepare your food fresh. I have noticed that no matter when I come here to eat, there is always someone prepping ingredients, which is a good sign in my book. I like the Sadai Tofu with Rice, warm and comforting on cool Washington days. Try anyone of their dishes and I’m sure you will find your favorite Vietnamese dish satisfying. Teresa Potter

The Freshest, Most Delicious Vietnamese Food Around! Very Inexpensive!. Wendy’s Vietnamese at Freighthouse Square has some of the freshest, most flavorful Vietnamese food around! The meat, seafood, and tofu is cooked to perfection, and the vegetables are fresh, brightly-colored, and not over-cooked. Their sauces and flavorings are a savory delight, and because they make everything made FRESH when you order, you can have your food prepared as mild or as spicy as you wish. The prices are so incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality of food they serve, and the workers are kind and friendly and show genuine appreciation for their customers. My only complaint is that they close by 6:45 PM on weekdays, and even earlier on weekends, which makes this mostly a lunch place for those of us who eat later. Be sure to try the garlic prawns or sa dai anything! You will not be disappointed! A Tacoma classic!
