Living in the Pacific Northwest means you get to be a bit of a seafood snob. I can say that the Crab Sandwich I had for lunch is possibly one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was good and the happy hour here is pretty awesome too. The normal menu feels to be a bit on the pricey side even understanding that fresh seafood is expensive. Other items that did not have seafood in them followed the same pricing. $9 for a side Ceaser seems like a bit much to me. All that said I will happily go back.
We had a great experience! Our waitress, Lindsay, was incredible and very helpful. They are kid friendly and don’t mind making special orders for the kids. The food is delicious and the drinks are fantastic. I had the stuffed salmon and it was awesome. I also had a Bloody Mary. It was very good. The one draw back is that their beer selection was somewhat limited. I would definitely go back!
Very tasty. Good experience. I recommend the mussels
Chowder. First time trying food here. Ordered two different chowders. They were good, but a bit heavy on the salt.
Great Salmon Chipotle Sandwich. I went next door to grab a burger but they were completely full, so I walked into Duke’s and immediately found a seat. Ordered the Salmon Chipotle sandwich and was blown away by how good it was. The salmon was moist but firm, had just the right amount of Chipotle and toppings. The molasses bread was awesome with it. It was a super delicious sandwich, so much I’d probably to back just to have that sandwich again.09-26-16, ate here again with a buddy. He got the halibut and chips with clam chowder. I couldn’t decide and ordered the cod fish tacos on the waitresses recommendation. My friend said his fish and soup were delicious (especially the chowder). I didn’t know how big my tacos were gonna be so I ordered three. The tacos are the normal size of a soft taco and very substantial and filling. They are not the size of small street tacos. I finished two tacos and boxed the third. Over all another great meal at dukes. Also the services was top notch. Highly recommend this place to people who want great food and great service.
We came in and they sat us down but we waited nearly twenty minutes, when I finally went to find someone. The waiter felt bad and said he would buy us desert. He was good after that and very friendly and helpful. We ordered the sampler of all the chowders. They were all good expect for the northwest one. It was little too soupy. We also orderd the crab dip. And it was amazing cheesy fresh crab goodness. For desert we ordered the marianberry crisp. Lastly, the waiter was nice enough to only charge for the crab dip because of the wait. All in all it was worth the wait and would recommend it.
Happy Hour. Six Savoury Small Bites – don’t get them. They only came in a piece!Clam Chowder $4.9/$8.9 4/5 – Get the small instead of the large. It didn’t make that much difference. The chowder was little salty but not overly.Washington Steamers $7.9 4/5 – They put quite a bit of beer and the broth was quite bitter. The clams were tiny.Dungeness Crab Cake $8.9 4/5 – Tasty but only 1 piece.Okay food but not worth and pricy for happy hour. Poor service. Our server was too busy running around. They also need to divide their sections better (not in a straight line).
