We came here once for lunch and then hesitantly came back for dinner on another day. Lunch was a HUGE disappointment, we ordered two bento boxes with teriyaki chicken and chicken karaage. They gave us chicken katsu instead of teriyaki chicken by mistake, and we had already eaten 1/3 of our meal so we felt it was too late to tell them. I am a huge Japanese food fan, and this katsu and karaage was the worst that I’ve ever had. They were both extremely dry and the karaage was OVER FRIED. I didn’t know that was possible.I was very hesitant to come back for dinner, but we thought we would give them a second shot since we didn’t have any of their sushi. We ordered a lot of sushi since we came back with 9 people. I can say that their fish is above average, but we had a teriyaki chicken as well and it was very sub-par. I would consider going back only for sushi and nothing else.
Dined here with my co-workers while on business travel. Very busy for a Tuesday night, which was a positive indicator for me. The restaurant was full, but we were able to be sested immediately. The second thing we noticed was the gentleman playing soothing sounds on the guitar while we dined. Another positive indicator in my mind. In addition to the atmosphere, the food was excellent! The salmon sunrise roll is probably amongst my favorite sushi rolls of all time, but not one of the four other people with whom I dined had anything negative to say about the food. I would highly recommend Miyabi to anyone looking for a high quality sushi experience in the Tukwila area.EDIT: Went back a second time. I tried several different sushi rolls, and everything was as delicious as our first trip.
This was a 5 minute walk from our hotel, and OH MY LANTA WAS IT GOOD! I don’t even remember what we ordered. It was all delicious. I remember I had something with unagi. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!
Very cute Ambiance. They even had live music on Saturday night. Good portions and I thought the prices were reasonable. Friendly staff in really good food. Will be back
It was okay, although I’m 100% sure my 13 month old is high on MSG right now. He had some gyoza and hads been running and jumping around like never before currently 2 hours past bed time and still going. My husband and I both feel wired too. UHg
Very satisfied. We were staying in Tukwila for a couple of nights before returning home to Hawaii. Decided to try this restaurant after searching area restaurants on Google. We missed finding it the first time as it is located at the end of a strip mall. We were surprised to find that they were having a Hawaiian Themed Week, complete with displays of cans of Spam, lol! . After eating regular American fare for a week, while traveling from Idaho to Washington, we really enjoyed the food, especially the poke. We prepare it differently back home but enjoyed this version as well! Would recommend to others.
Superb. Had read several conflicting reviews of Miyabi…but this is a superb rating. We were seated quickly with attention from the waiter immediate. We started with miso soup, deeply flavorful with crisp, thin, green onion sprinkled on top. This not a thin broth to sip and forget but one to sip and savor. We enjoyed two different rolls, the Rainbow and the Miyabi special. Just exactly what we came for. Impeccably fresh, well presented with not the usual pink ginger but thinly sliced and mildly yellow. We ordered Chaiwan Muschi…don’t grill me on the spelling…a lovely custard-like dish, freshly steamed with shrimp, fish cake and mushroom. Don’t think dessert custard sweet, think entree custard savory. I have not had much luck finding this at sushi restaurants, and couldn’t have been more pleased by their flavorful presentation. We also had an appetizer order of vegetable tempura. what a delight when it is done correctly, crisp batter, delectable shrimp, and a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables. This definitely a go back to place we agreed as we waddled out.
