Wow…What an amazing selection of food at this restaurant! Our group of 16 came here after my cousin’s commencement as a celebration. I wish that I had my camera with me and taken more pictures of the food. The seafood alone will blow you away. Here’s a sample of just a few items that I ate from the sashimi bar: geoduck, sweet shrimp, tuna, squid, oyster (not that good), saba, tako….and so on. Cooked food was king crab, spot prawns, lobster, dungeness crab, baby octopus, clams, noodle soup…and so on and so on. Not everything was a hit, but there was enough stuff that I really enjoyed for me to recommend it. There was also prime rib, bbq ribs, roasted duck, and more that I didn’t try because I filled up on seafood. Dessert needs improvement…just skip it and eat more lobster. Don’t expect top quality, but it’s pretty good for the quantity (AYCE) and price. If you do come, come on the weekend. It’s more expensive, but the lobster is worth it.Our server Wind was great. He had a good attitude and was prompt clearing our finished plates and refilling water. Even one of the cooks waved us over when the half lobster steamed in the shell was done cooking because he knew we were waiting.
04-01-16, had dinner here with my wife. The place was busy but not crowded. Small groups were seated immediately and large groups had wait times. The place was clean and our waitress was very attentive. The majority of the food we had was good, with only a few items being bland and/or inedible. The food had good variety, was well stocked, and well managed. Whats also nice is being able to see the food being prepared/cooked in plain view. We are both seafood lovers and were not disappointed. The sushi selection and quality is great for being a buffet. They also had poke, sashimi, raw oysters in the half shell which were very good. We skipped a lot of the typical buffet stuff like fried rice, lo mein noodles, fried butterflied shrimp, general tso chicken etc. What stood out was the sushi, poke, lobster claws, snow crab, raw oysters in the half shell, crayfish, fried shrimp with heads on, greens, and I was actually really impressed by the prime rib. The prime rib was well done (I prefer bloody) but it was still very tender, well seasoned, kind of fatty, and juicy. I would eat here again in a heart beat and recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood and prime rib.
Good sushi selection & better than most buffet place. Good selection of food especially seafood. Some sashimi (like the red snapper) were a bit dry & not as fresh. The mackerel was good. Good selection of fruits for dessert. Overall better than most buffet place.
10/10 Must Go To.. Best buffet in Seattle. Coming from Canada just to have a meal (or two). They have a wide variety of food from Japanese sushi to American steaks. But the dessert, sushi, and carving table are the main highlights. At the dessert tableS it includes a milk chocolate fountain with three tiers. There is also a whole section of fruits and desserts ti dip into this chocolate heaven. But that’s just the start. If you go a little way on (if you can pull yourself away from the fountain) there is a section for a variety of desserts that’s always changing. But instead of just the usual 1 or 2 types of cakes that looks like it came from a drug store, at Mizuki Buffet it looks like the desserts were pulled out of a 5-Star restaurant and placed there. As you know every buffet has its ice cream bar, but instead of the usual strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. This buffet includes green tea, coffee, and a lots more. But the MAIN highlight of the buffet is the sushi. Each plate of sushi was made from scratch in front of your eyes with a variety of colors, shapes (yes shapes), and sizes. But the sushi tastes just as good as it looks. From just plain sushi (for people who don’t like to try new things) to sushi cones and sashimi. As for the carving table… I could get the same amount of meat (steak, ribs, smoked ham, BBQ, roast fish etc..)at this buffet for not even half the amount I would pay at some grill or steak house and it wouldn’t taste half as good. The ONLY fault that this place has is its waiting time. Even though this building can accommodate more than 200 people there always seem to be a line up waiting to be seated. That just proves how good this place is. Overall, 10/10.
Really, don’t bother. Just came back for a Friday dinner. They had snow crab legs, steamed lobsters, oysters on half-shell, various sashimis, various sushi rolls, various nigiri sushi, some Chinese dishes including sweet and sour pork (labelled as general tsao’s chicken), mushroom and cube steak stir-fried, chicken and broccoli, seafood veggie stir-fry, .. just to name a few.pretty horrible quality food. (refer my blog for details)The service was really friendly as our dishes were properly removed and our water glasses were never empty. My boy friend was at the sashimi station and asked whether one of the items was Uni (sea urchin); he was told not but the server offered to ask the sushi chef to make him an order of uni sashimi. Unfortunately they did not have any Uni today but I thought it was a really nice gesture for the server. If you are a local and really wish to devour a lot of poor quality seafood and over the top sweet Asian affairs, this is your place. Otherwise do yourself a favour and drive up to Bellevue to the mandarin buffet (for $14.99; and better quality).
Great Seafood Buffet. Recently was in Dallas TX and ate at a wonderful Seafood Buffet and this one rates as high as the one in Dallas. A absolute huge variety of sushi, fish, BBQd meats, fruits, vegetables, and of course great desserts. This place was excellent…you won’t go wrong eating here the food is fresh and very tasty.
Better than some buffets. The food was alright, I’ve had worse at Asian buffets. The do above average on the desserts they serve.
