Not the most pleasant greeting but to be nice; they were busy… Sat down and immediately ordered some vegetarian fresh rolls…The peanut sauce here is bomb Looked at the menu and decided to go with the vermicelli salad with spring roll and pork. Wanted to get the Pho here like my barber suggested but it was interestingly a warm winter day in Seattle and I wanted something a little more refreshing and sweet. Boyfriend ordered the chicken katsu that was served with a generous amount of rice and a cabbage salad. A friend ordered the tofu vegan Pho which she said was very delicious.. Over all, I will be coming back here.. Cute restaurant, typical price, and yummy food. They’d get a 5 but they’re not so nice, so a 4 will do.

the broth…it was sort of simple. no hint of anise or richness that you can get elsewhere. i was looking for that deep, rich flavor and it didn’t get to me. pretty skimpy on the plate of fixings that come to the table. the condiment plate did have a good spread to flavor the pho up, but you can only do so much. if you’re looking for something quick and you’re in the area, this will do you.

Diamond in the Rough. Flanked by other asian restaurants in a strip mall area at Southcenter is Pho Tai–an innocuous looking pho restaurant. The ambiance is very—well, let’s call it formica. But you came here to eat and that was a gerat choice–or at least it was for us tonight. The pho ga was delicious, plentiful and cheap and the spring roll fresh and flavorful. The service was lickty split and my table gave it thumbs up all around. A definite winner!

Oh yeah! Forgot we also had a side order of meatballs included from the last post. Meatballs were nothing to write home about. Won’t be ordering those again. Total $23.0007 Feb, 2010Quick, informal seating, servers are usually nice. My girl and I got the spring rolls which are good. 2 pieces of shrimp wrapped around the lettuce and noodles. Also got 2 of the #1 small (steak pho) a soda and iced milk coffee. Quickly served our food.. And enjoyed. The coffee was good but chalked full of ice so it decivingly looked as though it was more. Total price: $23.00. Delicious.
