You Won’t Find a Great Dining Experience Here. We made Easter dinner reservations for three requesting a table as my wife recently had surgery and was unable to comfortably set in a booth. Upon arriving they placed us in a dirty booth. Tables adjacent had dirty dishes on them and remained so during most of our dinner. The first server failed to provide us the second menu, and only after finishing dinner did we realize that both had not let us know about the special Easter menu. The meals were cold, my wife’s side dish was not the one ordered, and the coffee was bitter. Additionally, the meal was extremely overpriced given the quantity of the servings. We had joined my brother here for a special occasion based on his recommendation. Even he was surprised at the poor service and affirmed that he also would not choose Sanford’s again.
I took a shower, I swear!. The atmosphere is nice. We were there around 4 on a weekday. The waiter treated my table like we were a group of smelly homeless people. When he did grace us with his presence he barely spoke and then quickly escaped. I’ve had better service at Burger King. The food was good but totally overpriced. I had the mac-n-cheese. I think it was $14 dollars but not sure. It was ok. It didn’t come with anything. I recommend finding another restaurant.

Decent Happy Hour. This place is perfect for bringing your mistress or secret boy toy, because wow, this place is dark and mysterious. The happy hours are probably the best reason to come to Stanford’s, as they’ve got a pretty decent selection. My last visit I had pretty bland sirloin tips and wished I had ordered the fish and chips instead. My boyfriend loves their macaroni and cheese because it has bacon, and the flatbread pizza with sausage was something he liked as well. I’d come here for happy hour, but probably not for any other reason.
Skip it. I will never eat there again. the steak looked as if it was made on a george forman grill just to get the marks on it. the mashed potatoes tasted as if it came out of a box. it formed a hard skin on it. the asparagus was burned and dry. the onion rings were ok. they were very hard. i used my steak knite to cut them in half. the caesar salad was just gross. the dressing tasted like straight mayo. we spent a little more than $90. so not worth it.
I visited Standfords for the first time during Dine Around Seattle in March. It was a great deal at 3 prixe fixe courses for $30. They didn’t scimp on the portions at all and the food was solid. I thought they presented a good sampling of what they have to offer and my experience certainly will encourage me to visit them again, which is the entire point of the program.
I’ve never actually eaten here for lunch or dinner. I only go here for Happy Hour. They’ve got great happy hour food for cheap prices. You can never go wrong with the mac n cheese here.
