Great late night place to eat!. I love stopping here at all hours of the night (about the only time parking is easy to find). The gyros are the best around, and it’s the only place I can find a decent falafel in town. The folks that work there are super friendly and the restaurant is always clean. I love this place!

Beef & Lamb Gyro. I have only eaten here once about a week ago but I was very surprised at the friendly service, good prices and very tasty gyro sandwich.I have eaten a lot of gyros before from Israelie run places in New York and Los Angeles, and more recently from middle eastern and local street vendors in South East Asia, so I am used to a slightly different taste (more spices in the meat and the tzatziki tahini sauce), but the taste was very good.Surprisingly they also served some of the best french fries I have had in quite some time.I will have to try the falafels and the bakhlava next time.

Quick, good, cheap, simple, and ethnic. Aladdin’s (pronounced al-laud-DEEN I think) is a family/immigrant owned eatery on the Ave. It’s not posh but it’s clean–you can see the whole kitchen right there at the counter–and the food’s good, and quick. In fact we phoned in an order the other day from the car, and it was ready for us when we arrived. We go there often before a film or a U Dub event. It’s a bit narrow where you first go in, order and pay. But just continue on back to the seating, where there are MidEastern rugs on the walls, and even a comfy corner to sit in that’s made to look like a family living room in Palestine or Lebanon. Restrooms are in the back. Food’s always good, whatever you order. We usually get fallafil of one kind or another. Soup, baba janoush, and more is also available. Serve-yourself water in the front, and a tip jar on the counter: they’ll bring you your order if you’ve gone on back to sit. Just noticed they have another place on the other side of 45th on the Ave, a little south of 47th.
