We went there to buy their salted caramels which are renowned to be excellent. While we were waiting for the rest of the family who went to the art museum across the street, we ordered their hot chocolate drink. It was so good we bought 6 tin cans of their powdered chocolate drink to take home!
Fantastic chocolate. Fran’s has the best chocolate in town, and arguably some of the finest chocolate you’ll ever taste. This is upscale, gourmet, tops. I’m not sure why it has a one dollar sign $ rating, because it’s not cheap– at least $$$ if not $$$$. Best for special occasions.

Wonderful!. The chocolate here is the best! And believe me, their hot chocolate is wonderful on a cold night. I think my favorite is the gray salted carmel.
Wow!. We tried the chocolate dipped fig, chocolate dipped apricot, chocolate dipped ginger in both their seattle as well as their bellevue downtown locations. What a treat!! Simply superb! Highly recommend!!
Spectacular. The caramel’s do genuinely live up to the hype, and they make a fantastic gift for dinner parties, or co-workers. It is a very pretty little store, and worth stopping by if you are downtown shopping.
Best chocolates in town. Fran’s has been around for a long time, but they still put out the highest quality, best tasting chocolates in town. Fran’s was one of the first places to combine chocolate, carmel and salt. Try the grey salt carmels. They are the best! The dark chocolate sauce has a deep complex chocolate flavor. Sometimes they have a chocolate cabernet sauce that is the perfect accompiment to fresh strawberries. They have a great selection of truffles, carmels and seasonal selections.
