Great lesser known spot for jazz!. This is where I go when I want to hear jazz, dress sexy, not pay cover, and not feel like I’m in a venue. It’s an intimate, romantic space that has local acts and open mic. I’ve heard some great jazz here and also some more standard (safe) jazz here. The menu changes but the food is definitely decent. There are seasonal inspired cocktails and they are made with love by the kick ass bartender. My favorite drink – The Strong Heroine is a dangerous one indeed.

Lucid is a flat-out great place. Very comfortable spot for an after-work cocktail, a date, or connecting with a small group of friends in an airy, yet intimate environment. Lucid has a lock on some of the best cocktails around town. Stumping their bartender will be difficult. They run some really hard-to-beat wine specials and they have a small, but adventurous list of amusing bites on the menu. Groove on to dulcet tones of local and regional jazz talent (some really tight acts come through – so get on their newsletter). Introduce yourself to David, the owner, he’s a gem. Plus he’s created something marvelous there. He’ll take care of you…and he’ll remember you next time you come in.*** Edit to mention that Lucid can get very busy, particularly on the weekends and if you are meeting people – Reservations Highly Recommended, out of experience ***
