Must try when in Wenatchee!. If you are visiting Wenatchee or new to the area, a must have is to walk through downtown and try out Owl Soda Fountain and Gifts. It is an old fashioned soda fountain complete with hand-made sodas and ice cream favorites. Being from an area without any soda shops, I was excited to try some old fashioned favorites. The chocolate ice cream soda (ice cream, carbonated water, flavor) was perfect with just enough fizz to let you know it’s different from any thing else. The muddy fizz (Coke, carbonated water, chocolate syrup, and half-n-half) was a pleasant surprise with a unique taste. The milk shakes are a whopping 24 oz and they will happily give you a to-go cup if you fail to finish it in one sitting. Classic ice cream favorites and specialty flavors are available to anyone in the need for a simple scoop or sundae. Phosphate sodas are artfully prepared by the ladies who work the counter and chocolate egg creams are also available for any one in need of a trip down memory lane. They remember you if you stopped in before and have their regular customers. I am so glad I found this place and plan to frequent it very often. When friends and family come for a visit, we will definitely be stopping by here. Very family friendly and personable service.
