This place is amazing!!! We had not had a meal all day on Christmas and we arrived in Wenatchee and went to our favorite place Windmill. They had just closed and reopened for us and served us with open arms and Becky was smiling the whole time. This is after serving people since 11am on a VERY busy day. The new ownership is awesome too. You can feel a great energy here!! Best wishes for this fabulous restaurant in 2014!!
Another great meal at the Windmill. The new ownership is right on…and Becky is the best customer service person ever! She is worth the visit!
Hard not to love this place. Small, cozy and richly decorated, this restaurant feels a bit like a bed and breakfast and the staff a bit like the innkeepers–you immediately want to like this place, which makes up for a lot. The menu of items is pretty small, there’s a couple of chicken dishes, a couple of pasta dishes, a couple of sandwitches and a small selection of seafood–lobster and prawns mostly. Steak gets the biggest section of the menu, but even there it’s not like there’s a huge variety. Unlike a lot of places where the prices are high, but totally worth it–here it just feels overpriced. The food is tasty, but often dissapointing with overcooked meats and fairly unimaginative recipies, (though they have a ground steak dish called the New York Joe that is very clever, original and delicious) mostly priced $5 to $10 more a dish than what would seem reasonable for what you get–I’m not one who usually balks at the price of a good meal, and it still bothered me. That said, if you asked me at the end of the day, I’d still have to say I was glad I went. It was still a good experience.
Past its pull date. This used to be the best steak in town. Now it is just an overpriced road house. Sorry but I will just drive past in the future.
You’ve got to be kidding. $30 for a Costco steak and the most uncomfortable booth I’ve ever sat in. I’m not going back.
Gluten Free at Windmill. Ate with the family (g-parents, hubby and 2 kids under 10yrs) and we all enjoyed it! Small restaurant with a decent array of menu choices. The staff was very accommodating to my gluten free needs (I have celiac disease) and willing to check on any ingredient questions I had. I was able to order a 7 oz steak, with baked potato, and salad with Thousand Island dressing. I would assume other items on the menu would be available for gluten free modifications. Had a great dinner and no complications later on. Enjoy!
The Windmill it not a buffet restaurant. It is a great steak house
