I Must Be Missing Something. I see so many reviews that say how great the breakfast is here and I just don’t get it. I feel bad if this is the best breakfast someone has had. It’s so NOT the best I’ve had! In my opinion, It’s barely mediocre. I’ve tried the seafood and a couple of other dishes that don’t stand out in any way. I CAN say it might be easy to be seduced by the proximity to the beach and the endorphins after a nice bike ride or walk/run. But the food is not the selling point. It’s the view and the allure of being at the beach.As a resident- I can attest there are much better breakfasts out there… but no better place to be than Alki!
Good Diner Food with an Unbeatable View. Had houseguest and took a cool walk down the beach for a later breakfast at the Alki Caf. We were quickly seated at a table with a view, and had a great breakfast. The green eggs and ham were delicious and the Challah French toast was light and perfectly cooked. Yes, the coffee is nothing to write home about, the Bloody Mary specials were being raved about by tables near us, and the view was awesome. It’s well-done diner-style food in a great location, reasonably priced. We look forward to trying lunch!
