Okay. So work brought me out here and the boss recommend we stop by. At first it looked good decent menu and lots of different bread. I asked for whole wheat got wheat maybe 40/60. The bread was over baked so the crust was a little thick. So the bread wasn’t that great. The tuna was white good if that is your thing. It was a little plain just mayo and roasted red peppers is what it tasted like. No salt pepper pickles etc for that extra punch. The size was a little off putting very conservative on the lettuce and tuna, but nice thick slices of bread.
Where’s the beef. Very unique place. I really liked the various offerings in the store. Had a roast beef sandwich and their was very little beef and I didn’t even get a pickle. Place was dirty. Seemed to have plenty of help, but they were pretty busy visiting instead of cleaning. I am from out of town, so no loyalty to a place that has been around for a long time. Mainly bothered by dirty.
Coconut ice cream is to die for!
A little piece of HEAVEN. The food, the ice cream, the folks behind the counter – all perfect. A wonderful deli selection, fresh soups, ice cream made on the premises, very nice selection of wines, the BEST selection of chocolates, candies and licorice – really, what more do you want. It’s all friendly and down to earth too!
Worst sandwich ever!!
A Piece of Americana. The HD is a sweet piece of Americana. The Miller family has owned if for over 75 years. They make their own ice cream and have over 40 flavors. My personal favorite would be the Root Beer ice cream. If you’re looking for something different they also have a licorice ice cream. Their sandwiches are outstanding and they have a wide variety. My personal favorite is the Italiano and I have them grill it. Have one of their salads or soups to go with that sandwich. The soups and salads are made on site by Nada and Nadia. You can feel the love when you walk in the door at the HD. Enjoy!
