Don’t waste your time. While it is nice to see a new restaurant, this one isn’t worth your while. Used a Groupon for takeout and it took over 10 minutes for two bbq sandwiches. There was a crowd, but the few people that were there were too much for the slow and less than enthusiastic young lady working there. Also, if you want to wash your hands, use the sink that is inappropriately placed in the kitchen next to the cooking area. Or use the bathroom that is accessible only through the kitchen prep area. No recommended.
The Best!!. Husband and I went in for lunch last weekend. We had the pork sandwich, potato salad, fried okra, and mac-n-cheese. EVERYTHING was soooo good. The service was great too. It’s very small and seating is limited. Also, they only take cash, no credit cards. I say get it to go and enjoy a picnic on Alki!!We will definitely be back.

Sauce is great but service is terrible. Beware of garlic salty mac and cheese for kids.06 Aug, 2014Catering No No. Ordered birthday party catering and checked on status 2 days ahead. Staff were quick and friendly. Brisket was out so ribs came home w/ me. Mighty spicy medium sauce I do declare. Tater salad cooled off the burn and baked beans had me toot’n all weekend. Yee haw!
Sad, sad, sad!. Tough brisket, links that have the texture of Beanie Weenies, bad service and no where to sit.How this place ever won an award is beyond me. But, then again, in Seattle, land of vegans, the bar is not set high for anything except coffee and pastries. The owners of this place would be slapped anywhere in the south, where they know what barbecue is.I have lived, traveled and eaten all over the country. Seattle, by far, is the worst city around for decent places to eat. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, I rather eat some of my father’s old K-rations.At least I am losing some weight before the holidays.
